AdBinge only works if every ad in the feed is worth watching. These guidelines explain what we look for when we review ads, and what isn't allowed. They form part of our Terms of Use.
The bar
Ask yourself: would someone choose to watch this? We approve ads that entertain, move, inform or impress. Great ideas and great craft win, whatever the budget.
Quality standards
- Format: vertical (9:16) video looks best; between 6 and 120 seconds; up to 200 MB.
- Picture & sound: sharp, well-lit video and clear audio. No heavy pixelation, black frames, letterboxing or clipped sound.
- Complete: a finished ad, not a test, placeholder, or slideshow of static images with no idea behind it.
- Readable: on-screen text and captions are legible on a phone, and not hidden behind the app's buttons (keep the bottom fifth clear of key text).
- Accurate details: a clear title, the right category and a call to action that matches the ad and its landing page.
- No repetition: don't submit the same ad many times or flood the feed with near-identical versions.
Honest advertising
- Claims must be truthful and capable of being substantiated. Be ready to back up claims such as "best", "fastest", "No. 1" or performance figures.
- Prices, offers and competitions must be clear, with key conditions visible or easy to find.
- Don't imitate news, system alerts or other brands in a way that could mislead.
- Follow the Advertising Regulatory Board's Code of Advertising Practice and other applicable law.
Not allowed
- Hate speech, discrimination or harassment based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, nationality or any other protected characteristic.
- Sexually explicit content or nudity, and any sexualisation of minors.
- Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm, dangerous challenges or illegal activity.
- Illegal products or services, weapons, illicit drugs, counterfeit goods.
- Scams, get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, unlicensed financial products and misleading health claims.
- Political or election advertising and issue campaigns (not accepted at launch).
- Shock tactics with no creative purpose, or content designed mainly to provoke outrage.
- Malware, phishing or deceptive landing pages.
Restricted categories
Alcohol, gambling, and certain financial or health products may only be accepted where lawful, responsibly presented, compliant with industry codes and not aimed at under-18s (or the local legal age, if higher). They must be labelled when submitted so we can keep them away from younger users. We may age-restrict, limit or decline these at our discretion. [Final restricted-category policy to be confirmed]
Rights & consent
- Only submit ads you own or are licensed to distribute on AdBinge, including music, footage, voices, logos and talent.
- Anyone identifiable in your ad must have agreed to appear in it. Take extra care with children.
- Don't use another brand's trademarks in a way that suggests endorsement or confuses viewers.
Viewer conduct
- Share freely, but don't spam links or use bots, fake accounts or scripted viewing to earn points; that leads to points being removed and accounts being closed.
- Be respectful in anything you post or send through the Service.
How review works
- Automatic pre-screen for technical quality and obvious issues.
- Human review by an AdBinge curator against these guidelines.
- Decision: approved, changes requested (with a reason), or declined. We aim to review submissions within [review time, e.g. 2 business days].
- Ongoing: approved ads can be removed later if they receive valid complaints or we find a problem.
Every decision comes with a statement of reasons: the rule concerned, what we found, and whether automated tools were involved. If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal within six months and a different person will review it. See Terms, section 9.
Reporting
See an ad that breaks these rules or infringes your rights? Email info@combinedintelligence.ai with the ad link and what's wrong (in-app reporting is coming). We review every report and tell you the outcome. Copyright owners can send a formal notice under Terms, section 10.
